I have been using a made-up word that I created for years now. Or at least that's what I thought, until today when for grins I googled "my" word, "Simplexity".
Apparently someone else came up with it before me, although they have a different definition. Therefore I actually only came up with a new definition, not a new word
Wikipedia had an alternate definition which can be found at the end of this post.
Here is my definition: The process of transforming difficult or complex things into more useful forms.
Taking complex ideas, concepts and problems and translating them so that the people who are not “Rocket Scientists” get to enjoy the benefits and the excitement that drives technologists to invent and build things of value for the rest of the world.
Without the complex, we are left with the mundane, manual and rudimentary, so it behooves us to translate complex things so others can benefit.
